Ashoka Waterfall Rappelling - Rappelling is an adventure activity mainly executed in mountains or artificial walls to descend from top in safe manner. If the same activity is done on running waterfall in monsoon known as waterfall rappelling. Luckily, there are few waterfalls suitable for rappelling near Mumbai and Pune. Ashoka waterfall is the most famous waterfall in Kasara region of Nashik.

Vihigaon  is a small village in Kasara region, nestled in Sahyadri  range. Rainy season its more crowded with the waterfall lovers. Though its more risky at the top of waterfall, people descend down to play, splash and enjoy during monsoon. One can find many young crowd visiting this place for the natural beauty that it offers. Vaitarna riverside camping is more famous in this region but in winters.

ITINERARY

Meeting Point: Kasara railway station at 09:15 AM

Train Timings:

CST 06:55 am

Kasara 09:08 am

At Kasara station, there will be little hustle and bustle but one can see the lush green all over. Here we start the journey to Vihigaon for Ashoka Waterfall by private vehicle. After crossing Kasara ghat, one can enjoy countryside road. Drive till base village very interesting as the thrust to get the glimpse of mighty waterfall increases as we approach. One can hear the sound waterfall after entering into village but will not be able to see it, as one has to walk down till the end of the village. This is the ideal location including lush greenery, lake. mountains and water streams, what else you want for photography. Once you reach to waterfall our trek leader will give Briefing session (Dos and Don’ts) & information about waterfall rappelling and required equipment.

One by one can enjoy the activity. Till the time others can relax in water stream and enjoy the fall.

After rappelling, group will come back to village for lunch and can leave back to Mumbai with lots of memories.

 

Please note important:

  • Buy Kasara return train tickets.
  • Board the first compartment from Kasara side.
  • Missing the train means missing the event - no refunds request will be accepted.

● Train tickets
● Any other personal expenses other than above & GST 5%

Cancellation and Refund applicable on the tour cost: 

●  If cancellation done prior to 15 days of outing 75% will be refunded.
●  If done prior to 10 days of outing 50% will be refunded
●  After that no refund will be provided.

● Scarf for Ladies is a MUST while rappelling
● At least 2 ltrs of drinking water
● Good trekking shoes
● Photo ID card
● Extra clothes
● Cap or Scarf
● Personal medicine
● Camera (Optional)

RULES & FAQ

Rules

● In mountains & jungles, smoking attracts honeybees and one has to face dangerous "honeybee attack" where survival of the person is difficult, hence smoking is strictly prohibited.
● Drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited.
● Leader's decision will be final and binding.
● Small Steps Adventures reserves all the right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without prior notice.
● Telephonic confirmation for booking is mandatory; if unable to contact us then send a text message and we will call you back.
● Please do not carry handbags or Jholas or Sling bags on treks.
● Please do not carry or wear any valuables, ornaments, jewelry, etc. If carried, then we do not take any liability for the same.
