Bhandardara Fireflies Camping Festival

Pre-monsoon climate (May-June) is the ideal period for fireflies i.e glow-worms for mating and in pursuit of the mate, hundreds of fireflies gather together on a tree displaying their bio-luminescent lights in the dark nights. Bhandardara dense forest is just the perfect place for these twinkling creatures for this kind of ritual and this is the exact time when we can experience synchronous twinkling of hundreds of fireflies one of the most beautiful phenomena in nature. Experience thousands of glowing insects at the same time which will be the moment to cherish for a lifetime.

Fireflies Camping Check in time: 4 PM (Day 1)

Day 01: Arrival at Bhandardara & Fireflies camping

Arrive at Bhandardara by noon. You can reach Igatpuri or Kasara and then take local transport (state transport bus or shared Auto-rickshaw/ Cab) to reach Bhandardara. Igatpuri is preferable as the distance from Kasara to the campsite is more than Igatpuri.

Move on to the camping site which will already be prepared so that you need not do anything. 

Enjoy the sunset from the campsite or go to an elevated land. After sunset, we will organize Bonfire for you.

Go for Bhandardara Fireflies trail during Kajwa Festival.

Enjoy the bounty of tiny twinkling stars on the backdrop of the deep dark sky while soaking the warmth of Bonfire.

Night stay at camp.

Day 02: Activities of Bhandardara Fireflies Camping

One can enjoy boating if it is not raining. As fireflies season is just before the monsoon. Apart from boating, one can enjoy archery and rifle shooting.

Kids (5-10 Yrs) - INR 1100 + 5% GST

Exclusions for Kajwa Festival:

● Travelling till Bhandardara Campsite
● 5% GST & Any other personal Expenses

Cancellation and Refund applicable on the Fireflies Camping tour cost:

● If cancellation is done prior to 15 days of outing 75% will be refunded.
● If done prior to 10 days of outing 50% will be refunded.
● After that, no refund will be provided.

Planning for Bhandardara Fireflies Camping?

● Carry woolen clothes or jacket, muffler, shoes or warm cap for Bhandardara Camping night
● Those who are not used to cold nights carry personal extra blankets. ( we will be providing bed, cushion & 1 pull over as part of the package)
● Torch with extra batteries
● Please carry id proof eg. Pan card, driving license

General Guideline Bhandardara Lakeside Camping:

● Note: Road till Bhandardara dam is not in condition. Please drive slowly.

● Do not carry valuables or items like jewelry, laptops or any other things for Bhandardara Camping.

● Management & Campsite is not responsible for any kind of loss or damage of your belongings.

● Do not smoke or light any items inside the tent as it may cause fire in the tent.

● Please Remove your footwear outside the tent and keep tent neat & tidy.

● Weapons or any inflammable things are not allowed in the premises or in the tent.

● If any damages are caused to the campsite, tent or bedding, camper/ guest will be responsible for the damage and will have to pay the charges for the same.

● STRICTLY NO USE OF DRUGS IN ANY KIND OR ANY FORM OR ANY OTHER KIND OF INTOXICANTS DURING YOUR BHANDARDARA CAMPING.

● All guests must follow the camping rules.

FAQs

1.  Is washroom and changing facility available?
- Yes

2.  What is the age group criteria?
- Any age group can enjoy at lake side, as campsite is fully safe. We have college group, reunion camping, company team outing, family picnic and etc. 

3.  Can I do swimming?
- No. it’s not allowed.

4.  Which kinds of vehicles are preferable?
- Vehicles with high ground clearance are preferable, as last few kms are Off-roading. Parking space is available.

5.  BBQ 
- We will provide you bbq equipment with screw n coal. You have to prepare it on your own. One can order extra while booking with addition cost of Rs. 500-700.

6.  How will be the stay facility?
- Stay will be in Tent (sharing of 2/3/4 basis) alongwith bedding, blanket and pillow.
