Harishchandra Fort or famously known as Harishchandragad is located in Malshej region of Ahmednagar District. It is 200 kms and 172 kms away from Mumbai and Pune respectively. This fort is renowned among the trekkers community. Mainly because of the vastness of the fort, the view it offers and various routes which provides access to this Fort. The most difficult amongst them is Nalichi Vaat. And the other two routes from Pachnai and Khireshwar are considered easy.

There are 3 peaks at the Fort called Rohidas, Taramali and Harishchandra. Taramati is the highest amongst the lot. You can also find reference of this fort in various ancient puranas such as Matsyapurana, Skandapurana and Agnipurana. It is also believed that Saint Changdev meditated in the caves of this very fort in the 14th century which helped him finished his manuscript known as Tatwasaar.

The main attractions of this fort are Saptatirtha Pushkarni, Kedareshwar Temple, Konkan Kada, Taramati Peak and Harishchandreshwar Temple.

We are Waiting for you

Meet at Kasara Railway Station at 2:15 pm. We will travel in the transfer vehicle to Pachnai which is the base village of Harishchandragad.

Food First

We will reach Pachnai Village around 5 pm. Please fill your stomach with simple but healthy snacks cooked by the local villagers. Around 5: 30 pm we will begin our trek to Harishchandragad.

Yay, we are here

By 8 pm we will reach Harishchandragad via Konkan Kada. We will set our tents and arrange for bonfire. Post dinner, we will enjoy the campsifre session with fun games such as Antakshari, Dumb Charades and many more. Do not forget to gaze at the starry sky before dozing off.


Good Morning Folks

Wake up around 6 am. Enjoy the sunrise view and view from Konkan Kada. We will start our hike to Taramati which is the highest point at Harishchandragad.

Breakfast is calling

Around 8 am head back to the campsite to enjoy the healthy breakfast. Post breakfast leave for the Harishchandra Temple to take blessings for our further journey.

Pachnai Village

Descend back to Pachnai village around 11:30 am post exploration of the fort. We will reach Pachnai village by 1:30 pm and enjoy the last meal of the trek.

Wow, What an Amazing Experience

Post Lunch, we will head back to Kasara Railway Station by 3 pm. Please share your experience and feedback on the way back. We wish you all the best for your further journey.

● In Mountains & Jungles, smoking attracts honeybees and one has to face dangerous "honeybee attack" where survival of the person is difficult, hence smoking is strictly prohibited.
● Drinking Alcohol is strictly prohibited.
● Leader's Decision will be Final and Binding.
