Holi Special – Camping at Bhandardara Lake

Camping at Bhandardara Lake

Camping at Bhandardara Lake Info

The hill station of Bhandardara is nestled in the Sahyadri ranges of Maharashtra and is one of the best weekend getaways from Mumbai. Surrounded by lush green hills and numerous waterfalls, it is a heaven for nature lovers who are looking for a break from mundane city life and spending some time in the lap of nature. Though there are many popular tourist places in Bhandardara, Arthur Lake is one of the best spots where you can enjoy nature at its best. Last few years, it has been a great hotspot for Lakeside camping near Mumbai.

The lake that gets its water from the Pravara River is a serene place where you can relax and revel in the beauty that surrounds you. What would be a better way to spend Holi this year than by celebrating it at the banks of a water body i.e Camping at Bhandardara Lake?? Celebrate the festival of colours with mirth and gaiety at our overnight camp that is situated near Bhandardara Lake and have a gala time with your friends and family members.

Day 1 –  Camping at Bhandardara Lake

Holi Special Bhandardara camping celebrations begin with an ice-breaking session at the camp where you get to meet your fellow campers over chai and snacks. Finding directions to the campsite is quite easy as it is located right at Arthur Lake. You can reach the campsite by 4 PM in the evening using your own mode of transport. We will be sharing our Bhandardara Camping GPS location.

The evening is a great time to unwind at the banks of the Bhandardara lake and enjoy a moment of quietude as you bask in the twilight enjoying the sky reveal hues of colour. If you are someone who prefers activity then you can indulge in a game of cricket, badminton, volleyball, archery, chess or carrom. We will be arranging all the sports equipment so you can have a great time without any logistical worries.

Late evening will culminate with the celebration of Holika Dahan, a ritual that has been an intrinsic part of Holi celebrations in India. We will also be organizing a fun barbeque party during your Bhandardara camping stay where you get to try your culinary skills with several vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The rations, however, will be limited and thus will be distributed equally among all the campers. Dinner will be served around a bonfire post which you can retire to your tents for a blissful sleep.

Day 2 – Camping at Bhandardara Lake

Wake up to a gorgeous morning at the Bhandardara campsite and gear up to drench and get drenched in the colours of Holi! Frolic around the camp as you enjoy Rangapanchami with your loved ones by splashing colourful water and dry coloured powders.
