Kulang Fort is located in Kalsubai Mountain Range comes in Akole Taluka of Ahmednagar District. If you really want to experience the thrill of extreme trekking in Sahyadris, Trek to Kulang Fort is of that calibre. Climbing more than 4000 feet at a stretch is a tedious task. The duration of the Trek is of around 4 hours. The rock cut steps of Kulang Fort are main attraction as on the other side of the step there is a deep valley. Climbing on these steps require ample amount of concentration.

The top of Kulang cave will offer you views of Madangad, Alang, Patta Fort and Kalsubai. The fort also has many water cisterns and the cave accommodates around 20 - 25 people at a time. Watching Beautiful Sunrise from the top convinces you of the effort you took to reach at the top.

Day 1

We are Waiting for you

Meet at Kasara Railway Station at 4 pm as we will head to Ambewadi, base village of Kulang Fort in our transfer vehicle.

Food First

We will reach Ambewadi around 6 pm. Freshen up and fill your stomach with some snacks and tea as we will be having late dinner. We will start our trek to Kulang after a brief introduction session.

Kulang Fort, we are coming!

Around 6:30 pm, we will start our trek to Kulang Fort. Don’t forget to make use of your torch while climbing.

Wow, finally we are here!

We will reach Kulang Fort cave around 10:30 pm. Enjoy the food cooked in Chulha and rest for a while as we have to wake up early to enjoy the sunrise.

Day 2

Good Morning, Guys!
Wake up around 6 am to enjoy the sunrise. Freshen up and enjoy the breakfast and tea.

Explore Kulang

We will explore Kulang Fort, followed with sessions of Group Photos and selfies at various points. You can also try your eye to identify the nearby forts visible from the cave. We will start the descend around 7:30 am.

Ambewadi, Base Village

We will reach to Ambewadi around 10:30 am. Freshen up, change your Clothes if you want, as we will start our return journey.

What an Amazing Experience

We will head back to Kasara Railway Station around 11 am. Please share your experience and feedback on our way back. We will reach Kasara Railway Station around 1 pm.

● If cancellation done prior to 15 days of outing 75% will be refunded.
● If cancellation done prior to 10 days of outing 50% will be refunded.

Note: Our stay is in caves, so carry sleeping bag / mat / chaddar.

Rules: 

● In mountains & jungles, smoking attracts honeybees and one has to face dangerous "honeybee attack" where survival of the person is difficult, hence smoking is strictly prohibited.
● Drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited.
● Leader's decision will be final and binding.
● Small Steps Adventures reserves all the right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without prior notice.

● Please do not carry handbags or Jholas or Sling bags on treks.
