Trek to Tungareshwar

Tungareshwar is a Wildlife Sanctuary located in Vasai Taluka of Palghar District. It is 75 kms and 206 kms away from Mumbai and Pune respectively. It is also known to be an extended corridor for Sanjay Gandhi National Park. Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary has a varied offering of Flora and Fauna, beautiful Landscapes and Waterfalls during Monsoon. Trek to Tungareshwar (Peak) will be through its Wildlife Sanctuary Tungareshwar.

Best Season to visit is in Monsoon as the Waterfalls and small water streams turn this Forest in to a Scenic Beauty.

Meet at Vasai Railway Station at 6:30 am. We will head to the base village after filling our stomach with breakfast.

Tungareshwar we are coming

We will travel to the base village in the Transfer Vehicle. Post reaching the base village, we will start the trek to Tungareshwar around 8 am.

Shree Sadanand Maharaj Ashram

Reach Shree Sadanand Maharaj Ashram around 11:30 am. Relax for a while. Freshen up and share your tiffin box with your fellow trekkers enjoying the Lunch.

Tungareshwar Temple and Waterfall

Post Lunch head towards the Tungareshwar temple around 1:30 pm. The trek is through a proper wide trail which will guide you straight to the temple.

Reach Tungareshwar Temple around 3:30 pm. Take Blessings of Lord Tungareshwar and after 15 minutes of further walk enjoy the waterfall and take a dip in it (ensure your safety first) and get refreshed.

Wow, What an Amazing Experience

Post the enjoyment of a dipping in the waterfall head back to base village around 4:30 pm. Do not forget to carry all your belongings. We travel back to Vasai Railway Station from the Base village in the transfer vehicle. Share your experience about the trek and all the best for the further journey.
